Halliburton Plaintiffs Win Class Cert Post High Court Appeal

Home»News»Halliburton Plaintiffs Win Class Cert Post High Court Appeal

KSF and its co-counsel, Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, were granted class certification today in the landmark Halliburton case that had made two trips to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In a memorandum opinion and order, U.S. District Judge Barbara M. Lynn granted the Erica P. John Fund’s motion for class certification with respect to the company’s alleged corrective disclosure of December 7, 2001. The long-running class action is over claims that Halliburton artificially inflated its stock price by issuing misstatements about its financial liability for asbestos claims.
