Court Appoints KSF to Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in American Express Antitrust Action

On July 14, 2015, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York appointed KSF as a member of Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in Jaynes, et al. v. American Express Company, et al., No. 1:15-cv-1598, a class action against the American Express Company and American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. brought on behalf of consumers in fourteen states who do not hold an Amex credit card or an Amex co-branded credit card and who used a MasterCard, Visa, or Discover credit card to purchase goods or services from merchants that accepted American Express credit or charge cards, asserting claims under the antitrust statutes and/or consumer protection statutes and laws of unjust enrichment of the following jurisdictions: California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
